Orlando, Florida is located in central Florida. Orlando is the sixth largest city in Florida.  Is the undisputed theme-park capital of the United States. It is home to the world famous Walt Disney World Resort, as well as numerous other theme parks.

Orlando is also only 45 minutes from Port Canaveral, a major cruise ship port that plays host to at least three major cruise lines.

It also beckons with world-class resorts, shopping opportunities for every budget, all-season golf courses, and some of the most enticing dining opportunities on the planet. 

Nightlife in Orlando is centered in the downtown area, and around the major theme parks. In downtown Orlando, one can find comedy clubs, dance clubs, martini bars, pubs, sophisticated lounges, and sports bars.

Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort features dining, shopping, movie theatres and five nightclubs. Downtown Disney also offers movies, dining, shopping, and seven clubs at Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island.

Orlando has a hot, sub-tropical climate that is divided into two main seasons, the warm season (from late spring through early fall), and the cool season. Summer begins with the start around mid-June. Highs from mid-June to mid-Septembe, with 32°C, and lows in the 23°C. Spring in Orlando has highs in 27°C in March & April.

Autumn varies much more from year to year than spring. The daily taper off in September leaving highs in 29°C until mid-October and lows in 12°C. Winter is much the same as November and December. Highs are in 24°C, lows in 12°C.

Orlando regional public transportation system is called LYNX, a public bus system that services all of Central Florida. Approximately 60 routes serve the metro Orlando area.  LYNX bus stops are often marked by a round sign with either a pink paw or pink bus symbol. 

In addtion, LYNX also offers a free bus system within Downtown Orlando called LYMMO. This free service operates frequently in a circuit in downtown, from City Hall to the Centroplex and back.

I-Ride Trolley, Along International Drive and Universal Blvd, this trolley primarily serves tourists in the attractions area, operating daily from 8am to 10:30pm. While the service is advertised as a trolley, the trolleys are in fact modified buses traveling in traffic with many stops, which makes for a slow ride.

Walt Disney World: Is Florida's most popular family attraction and has been for many years. Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot Theme Park, and MGM Studios are just some of the highlights that have long entertained children and parents.  Additions such as Downtown Disney now cater to a more adult crowd, with shopping, restaurants, theaters, and music venues.

Orlando's SeaWorld: With its huge aquariums, dolphin and whale shows, touch pools, and extensive list of rides, draws a large family crowd. It also allows opportunities for close up encounters with dolphins and other residents. SeaWorld in Orlando is among the world's largest marine parks.

Shop ‘Til You Drop: Orlando shopping truly allows a person to shop all day and barely scratch the surface of what the area has to offer.  The Orlando area provides access to world class malls and top notch outlets like the Orlando Premium Outlets.

Visit Winter Park: Is one of the most beautiful areas in Greater Orlando. With stunning parks, dozens of incredible restaurants, and a true feel of the culture and heritage of Central Florida.
