Bidding a fond farewell to its Church Street location, EC has now opened the doors to a brand new, stylish yet functional space just steps from the Waterfront, Long Street and some of the best hotels and shopping Cape Town has to offer.
EC's Executive Chairman Andrew Mangion said, "As a group, we are well known for having excellent schools in the best locations, andEC Cape Town was no exception. However, the EC ethos is to seek to continuously improve, and we are always looking for new ways to provide the best student experience possible. I am proud to say that the new EC Cape Town clearly underpins this ideology, where we have created a modern, student-centred space that is truly inspiring and innovative."

The school is situated in a beautifully renovated heritage building in the Central Business District. The bespoke design of the school, like EC's other newest additions, EC Manchester and EC Washington DC, gives the space a vibrancy inspired by the rich cultural identity of South Africa. The look and feel of the school is further enhanced by its stunning setting, with amazing panoramic views of the vast Atlantic Ocean and the iconic Table Mountain.
The new school features 12 uniquely designed classrooms, a stylish lounge-reception area, and a well-stocked library. The school has been fitted with the cutting-edge technology expected from EC; including interactive whiteboards, computers with free internet access, Wi-Fi throughout the building, and a peaceful self-study room. The school will continue to be a Cambridge Exam Testing Centre, giving students the opportunity to conveniently prepare and sit for their exams in one place. The new EC Cape Town opened its doors on 30th March 2015.
