LAL Fort Lauderdale is a modern, two storey learning centre sharing a property with our residence. The school is located only 10 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the trendy Las Olas Boulevard and the famous Fort Lauderdale Beach. A variety of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, shopping, banks and pharmacies are all within walking distance of the school.

LAL Fort Lauderdale has 19 classrooms including a dedicated exam preparation classroom, wireless internet throughout the school as well as a multimedia centre with free internet access. Students have access to a large social area where they can mix with students of different nationalities, play games on Xbox, enjoy a friendly game of table tennis, or watch a movie on the flat screen TV.

Social activities

A key part of your language travel experience happens once classes are over. The best way to practise your new language skills is to get out and use them in the real world. We know you will also want to find out about the country you are visiting, to sample the lifestyle of her people and to explore the area. In each of our locations LAL excels in providing social and leisure activities that are fun, engaging and good value for money.

Everglades Airboat Tour: Half-day excursion to the largest subtropical wilderness in America. The Everglades is home to a variety of rare and endangered species, from the tiniest grass frog to the biggest American crocodile. Students will take part in an Airboat tour of the park, a unique way to see the local wildlife followed by an alligator show.

Miami Seaquarium: There are 8 different marine animal shows, including dolphins, sea lions and whales, plus thousands of fish! ?DOLPHIN ODYSSEY? - An interactive deep-water swim, where the dolphins will pull you across the water! ?DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER? - A shallow-water experience where you can feed, pet, and kiss a dolphin!

We are committed to the highest possible standards of teaching using skilled and experienced teachers. LAL has a long-established track record in teacher training and our schools in both Malta and Torbay are providers of the DELTA programme ? the highest qualification for practising teachers of English as a Foreign Language. We also attain accreditation for our courses by national bodies like the British Council & English UK in Great Britain, CEA & AAIEP in the United States, EFL & Feltom in Malta and EDUSA in South Africa.
