ELS / Berkeley is located in Hillside Hall, a facility with dorms and classrooms which houses both ELS students and the University of California at Berkeley. Many of the most important intellectuals of the world have studied in Berkeley, and students can take advantage of many libraries, cafes, bookstores and festivals that the city offers.
The ELS center is located in an ideal location close to the bay area of San Francisco that has a temperate climate, good public transportation and easy access to San Francisco, San Jose and Marin County.
Berkeley is also located near Muir Woods and Napa wine country. The city of Berkeley has a small population but a great reputation and is home to many artistic and cultural activities including numerous festivals.
