Take a walk around any of our campuses and you'll discover a diverse and welcoming environment where staff and students from throughout New Zealand and around the world meet, mix and mingle.

You'll discover a wide range of facilities like gyms, libraries and health centres, and you'll come across all manner of student events, activities and exhibitions.
There are places to catch up with friends and fellow students, like on-campus cafes and even training restaurants where you can savour fabulous, affordable meals prepared by trainee chefs and served by hospitality students.

And if you're seeking assistance, you'll find it; whether it's directions to your classroom, a recommendation for a great coffee, or expert guidance on student finance, accommodation or career opportunities.

There's so much to student life at Ara.

Making friends is easy and there's always an opportunity to catch up at a café - either on campus or close by - or to have an impromptu game of soccer or basketball during a study break.

Special events are staged throughout the year and they're always a good chance to have fun, meet other students and experience something new. These can range from the orientation experience of Welcome Month, to student exhibitions and lunchtime cultural performances.

Many events in the Ara calendar are organised by students themselves, as part of their studies. These include fashion shows, concerts, plays, musicals and degustation dinners. What better way to experience the talents of your fellow students?.

As well as attending events there are numerous student groups to join, or you can create your own with support from Student Services. Groups and clubs are a great opportunity to collaborate on projects, get involved in community causes or just enjoy a particular sport or special interest with like-minded individuals.

However you like to spend your time, you'll love student life at Ara.
