CES Dublin

CES Dublin

Our schools have the perfect location right in the heart of the historic city of Dublin, on the same street at as Dublin's top attractions - Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Temple Bar.

Our schools have the perfect location right in the heart of the historic city of Dublin, on the same street at as Dublin's top attractions - Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Temple Bar.

We are minutes away from Dublin's premier shopping area, Grafton Street, and at the top of the street you have St.Stephen's Green, a beautiful relaxing city park where you can get away from it all.

“Friendly and fun” are the words most visitors use to describe this city, and our students always agree! Learn English in the city of Joyce, Beckett and Wilde and make new friends on great nights out. Visit other fantastic cities such as Galway or Belfast, both just over two hours' travel away.

The Adult Social and Cultural programme in each CES school will form an important part of your stay in CES. As well as being a great way to improve your English, our social programme includes visits and tours that enable you to see your new city through the eyes of local people.

Each school has a dedicated team of ‘Yellow Shirts’ responsible for coming up with new and exciting things for you to see and do.

CES is very proud of our vibrant social and cultural programme. During your stay we will arrange:

  • An orientation tour on your first day.
  • Visits to the museums and art galleries close to your learning centre.
  • Visits to areas of historic or natural scenic beauty.
  • Movie afternoons.
  • History and nature walks.
  • Quizzes and games.
  • Sports afternoons - football - bowling - baseball.
  • Afternoon dance and singing lessons.
  • Saturday or full-weekend tours to the most popular historic or tourist sites in Ireland.

Both teaching centres are imposing buildings within the boundaries of medieval Dublin. Our Dame Street building holds our main offices and 9 classrooms and a new Internet cafe with 10 computers.

Our second year-round English language teaching centre, Dame Court, has been completely renovated to the highest of international standards and its strong bright colours make the classrooms and leisure areas fresh and vibrant, allowing you to feel relaxed and comfortable at all times. We also have two delightful roof gardens.

The top floor (5th) in Dame Court houses our computer room with 16 terminals all with free Internet access. We have a total of 23 pristine classrooms, all with multimedia capabilities.

Our multimedia centre has the most up-to-date technology and software with free broadband Internet access, Wi-Fi and personal laptop access points. A listening centre and self-access study library are available and a teacher is on duty every afternoon for advice and guidance on additional study.

CES can also help you prepare for an exam in your own country. We know that a comfortable environment and caring staff are essential to effective language learning.

Our basement area has a cafeteria that provides light snacks and drinks. It is the ideal environment to stay and chat to friends after a busy day and our leisure area with plasma screen TV provides up-to-date news throughout the day plus a movie every afternoon.
