With its British Museum, university colleges and theatres, Bloomsbury is one of London’s most exciting districts. The language school is located in the heart of this area, where calm and culture meet in the heart of the city; the attractions of the capital’s centre are just steps away. A mix of a historical, central location and a surprising calm makes St Giles Bloomsbury an alluring destination for an English course in London.
Located in a centenary building that has been renovated and modernised, the school will pleasantly surprise you with its unexpected and charming rooftop terrace which is used regularly in the summertime.
It has 51 spacious classrooms, a language lab, modern teaching equipment including interactive whiteboards, a library and a large cafeteria where snacks and hot meals are available. There is also WiFi access and more than 50 computers available for students. All this at the very heart of London, just fifteen minutes walk from Oxford Street and the West End.
At St Giles we offer a complete package ensuring you have everything you need for a successful and enjoyable period of study. We offer you a wide choice of accommodation options for all needs and budgets, transfers to and from our centres, social activities and comprehensive insurance.
Support and Welfare: Our staff are here to help and support you from the moment you arrive in our schools, to the day you return home. We have welfare officers in every centre to ensure your safety and well-being, while our Academic Counsellors will help you with your studies and can advise you on your future career or educational life.
We also have dedicated Child Protection Officers who are responsible for students under the age of 18. You will also receive a 24-hour telephone number for use outside school hours.
Social Programme: Our social and excursion programmes are designed to help you have fun, make friends, practise your English, and explore the city and country you are living in. At each year-round school there is an Activity Organiser who will arrange afternoon, evening and weekend activities.
You can choose from local weekday activities and sports, a range of full-day weekend excursions, as well as mini-breaks over the weekend. There will be at least five events each week.
The school provides a monthly program that informs students of the cultural (theatre, concerts, dance, opera, etc.) and other events going on in London. Students can purchase discounted tickets for musicals, a book club, a film club, football and regular visits to local places of interest. There is also a film shown each week on a large screen at the school. On Fridays, teachers and students meet in a traditional pub.
Discos are organised on a boat that cruises the River Thames. Outside of London, there are excursions to discover Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford-upon Avon and other places of interest in the UK and also in Europe.
