LSI London Hampstead

The leafy and picturesque area of Hampstead is one of London’s best-kept secrets.

The leafy and picturesque area of Hampstead is one of London's best-kept secrets. Brimming with restaurants, cafes and boutiques as well as London's largest park, Hampstead Heath, and just 20 minutes from the very centre of London, Hampstead is the ideal place to learn English in England.

Our language school is a spacious and airy Victorian building with a beautiful, secluded garden. Whether you are studying for TOEFL or Cambridge Examinations or studying English on one of our more general ESL/EFL programmes, you will benefit from excellent facilities including a computer room and language lab, a library and wireless internet to help you get the most out of your English course.

LSI Hampstead offers a fun and varied Social programme which explores the rich cultural heritage of the area, and the wealth of leisure facilities. Activities include guided walks, trips to cinemas, museums and pubs, and weekend trips to Oxford, Cambridge and even Paris.

  • Visit a traditional Hampstead pub: Hampstead is home to many charming traditional pubs where you can enjoy excellent wines and British real ales as well as classic British "pub grub" if you get hungry. Many of the pubs in Hampstead have gardens to enjoy in summer, and real wood fires indoors to keep you cosy in winter.
  • Walking Tour of Westminster Abbey, Downing Street & Trafalgar Square: The tour starts in Westminster Abbey, the spectacular Gothic church where British monarchs are crowned and buried. Then you'll stroll up Whitehall, passing Downing St, the home of the British Prime Minister, and you'' see the spectacle of the traditional Horse Guards Parade.
  • Shopping in Oxford Street & theatre night in the West End: Shop 'til you drop on England's most famous shopping street. If you get tired, you can drop into one of the many lovely old pubs for a tasty ale. In the evening, experience one of the many spectacular musicals showing in London's theatre district, the West End.
