Our St. Giles partner school is housed in three Regency-style buildings located in the centre of Brighton, close to the famous William IV’s Royal Pavilion. Just near the school, you will find a new complex containing museums, galleries and theatres, an indoor public swimming pool and an ultramodern public library. Numerous restaurants, shops and nightclubs are also in close proximity to the school.
The school has an internet café and free Wi-Fi throughout, an independent study centre with a library, a TV/video self access centre, with lots of computers, DVDs, books and magazines, a language lab and a computer room. That is, all of the facilities you need to help to immerse yourself in the language of Shakespeare and T.S. Eliot.
At St Giles we offer a complete package ensuring you have everything you need for a successful and enjoyable period of study. We offer you a wide choice of accommodation options for all needs and budgets, transfers to and from our centres, social activities and comprehensive insurance.
Support and Welfare: Our staff are here to help and support you from the moment you arrive in our schools, to the day you return home. We have welfare officers in every centre to ensure your safety and well-being, while our Academic Counsellors will help you with your studies and can advise you on your future career or educational life.
We also have dedicated Child Protection Officers who are responsible for students under the age of 18. You will also receive a 24-hour telephone number for use outside school hours.
Social Programme: Our social and excursion programmes are designed to help you have fun, make friends, practise your English, and explore the city and country you are living in. At each year-round school there is an Activity Organiser who will arrange afternoon, evening and weekend activities.
You can choose from local weekday activities and sports, a range of full-day weekend excursions, as well as mini-breaks over the weekend. There will be at least five events each week.
Using your English in a sporting or social context is a great way to develop the skills you will have acquired in class. It is also a great way to make friends with students from all over the world! This is why our partner school offers students the chance to participate in activities and outings each week, some free or at reduced prices, during the week and on weekends.
The program includes sporting activities such as basketball, football or tennis, but also cultural excursions to museums, the theatre or cinema, not to forget the nights out: pub, nightclub or to the Babylon Lounge Club, for example. Weekend trips are also offered: Cambridge, Oxford, Portsmouth and, of course, London.
