The City of Las Vegas and often known as simply Vegas, is the most populous city in the state of Nevada.  it is situated in the Mojave Desert of Southern Nevada.

Las Vegas is an internationally renowned major resort city known primarily for gambling, shopping, fine dining and nightlife and is the leading financial and cultural center for Southern Nevada. The city bills itself as The Entertainment Capital of the World, and is famous for its mega casino–hotels and associated entertainment. 

Downtown Las Vegas is home to trendy bars & nightclubs, hopping casinos, educational museums, delicious restaurants and much more. The city features many mega-hotel/casino complexes decorated with lavish care and attention to detail creating a fantasy-like environment.

The casinos often have names and themes that evoke romance, mystery, and exotic destinations.

Las Vegas climate is a subtropical, hot desert climate The city enjoys abundant sunshine year-round; it has an average of about 310 sunny days per year. The summer months of June through September are very hot and mostly dry, with a July daily average temperature of 92.5 °F (33.6 °C), while nighttime temperatures often remain above 80 °F (27 °C). 

Las Vegas' winters are short and the season is generally mild. December, the coolest month, averages 47.7 °F (8.7 °C). The mountains surrounding Las Vegas accumulate snow during the winter, but snow is rare in the Las Vegas Valley itself.

Spring and fall are very enjoyable months with daytime highs ranging from the mid 20 °C to 25 °C. Some of the best months to visit Las Vegas are March, April, May, October, and November. 

RTC Transit ( The Regional Transportation Commission) is a public transportation system providing bus service throughout Las Vegas. Buses can be an inexpensive and convenient option, especially if just traveling up-and-down the Strip, or to-and-from downtown.

RTC, operates 49 bus routes throughout the valley. Most routes operate 5:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m. daily, but some routes operate 24 hours per day. 

The Las Vegas Monorail, runs along the east side of the Strip with stops behind several of the hotels and at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It costs $5 one-way, $9 return and $15 for a one-day pass.

The strip: Once you pass the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign, it won't be too long until you're cruising the Strip.  the term is often used loosely to refer to the collection of hotels and casinos on or near Las Vegas Boulevard.

The Venetian Casino and Grand Canal: The Venetian replicates the highlights of Venice, complete with gondola rides along the Grand Canal. Visitors can get a taste of what life is like in venetian. Singers, stilt walkers and "living statues" recreate the typical scene you'd likely encounter in the real Venice.

Bellagio Casino and Fountains: Offers from table games and slot machines to a race and sports book.  The Bellagio also have the massive fountains, Every 15 to 30 minutes, those walking past the Bellagio are treated to a complimentary light and water show with the fountain's jets shooting water into the air during intricately choreographed "dances".

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area: Seventeen miles southwest of Las Vegas, the Area offers travelers a respite from Las Vegas' unnatural neon landscape. you'll find yourself surrounded by the beautiful Mojave Desert and its signature red hills.

Cirque du Soleil: Is known for its incredible acrobatic feats, which are performed with an unrivaled level of artistry. Cirque du Soleil's performances are inspired by a variety of natural and cultural elements.
