Liverpool School of English

Our school is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian building located in Liverpool's knowledge quarter.

Our school is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian building located in Liverpool's knowledge quarter. We are only a short walk from two universities, a cathedral, Liverpool Central Library and many different museums and art galleries.

Since we opened our doors in 1999, we have welcomed students from more than 60 different countries to study here at The Liverpool School of English. During this time we have seen thousands of students develop and practise their English language skills in the wonderful city of Liverpool.

At The Liverpool School of English we believe that the friends students make during their stay in Liverpool are as important as the lessons they learn. Social events allow students to practice their English in a natural environment both with other students and with native speakers.

Our social programme is carefully designed to appeal to the many different interests and budgets of our students, to maximise our students exposure to English and to encourage them to make new friends from many different countries.

The school can recommend places to see music and the social programme includes Jazz, Salsa and Open Mic nights. Of course no trip to Liverpool is complete without visiting the Beatles Story museum or the Cavern club.

Of course Liverpool is famous for football, with two famous Premiership teams Liverpool and Everton. LFC remain one of the most successful clubs of all time, and a trip to the stadium/museum is an essential part of any visit to the city. If you can't get a ticket to the game, you can watch it in one of the many pubs in the city, meeting local fans and soaking up the atmosphere.
